HAUL & First Impressions || Yves Saint Laurent

I super splurged on a few items recently, as you may have seen in my latest haul video [H E R E] but I really wanted to blog and share with you guys my favourite two purchases, which just so happen to be from Yves Saint Laurent! Every time I see the YSL concession I always gravitate towards it and see what new products they have, I’m a big fat sucker for their lipsticks and the packaging doesn’t help either! *drool*
On this particular shopping trip, I had picked up:

YVES SAINT LAURENT  ||  Rouge Volupte Lipstick – Shade 23 – £24.50

YVES SAINT LAURENT  ||  Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Highlighting Pen – Shade One – £25.00

The above picture shows me in natural lighting (no filters) with both the products applied on. Click this post to read about my thoughts and opinions on the products that I had bought, and to see the oh-so-fancy pictures of the products and colour swatches. xo

Aside from the gorgeous packaging, I’m in love with this particular lipstick shade, ever since I’ve bought it, I have been wearing it everyday! It is extremely mattepigmentedcreamy, and smooth. I have applied the lipstick on top of the No7 [Precision Lip Pencils – Caramel] – which I think is the perfect combination together, they suit each other so well creating a long-lasting lip duo. I honestly, can’t say enough good things about the Rouge Volupte lipsticks from YSL as they really are my favourite kind of lipsticks to buy – plus I don’t know even know how to start talking about it without my brain going crazy! The only thing I can suggest is that you check them out!

As for the touché éclat highlighting pen, I bought it after hearing many wonderful things about it, and it hasn’t disappointed, as you can tell from the picture above, I look extremely radiant where the natural light bounces off my face creating a warm natural glow. You may think that shade one is a shade too light for me, but I wanted a lighter shade for illuminating/ highlighting properties – and so far it’s working wonders. The consistency of this product is quite nice and creamy, and blends really well with a beauty blender creating a flawless finish. The only one major complaint I have about this product is the actual application brush – the brush is going to allow for product build up and bacteria/germs to grow rapidly, and it’s disappointing that I won’t be able to really clean the tip without loosing product. If they could change this one flaw about the product, then yeah I’d scream out HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT – but for that one reason I cannot.

That concludes my super short first impressions blogpost on these two items, I hope you have enjoyed it – Next up I should have a post up on a few Lancome goodies, or it could be about an empties video, so stay around for that, and I’ll chat to you again soon! Thanks for the support xoxo
