On Sunday the 9th I was in attendance of a small private Nikah ceremony. I don’t usually go to a lot of asian functions because they tend to be long and tedious, but when it involves an immediate or important extended family member, you have no choice but to attend. Plus I get to doll up and look oh-so-fancy!
So I’m never on trend when it comes to asian clothing, nor do I know whats current in bollywood fashion, so I leave all that jazz to my mum, El-oh-el! And I ain’t gonna lie, I was pleasantly surprised when she turned up with this little number from a store called Diya, I believe from Luton! I’ve linked the item below, so click the post to read more and see more pictures!
So i’m terrible at describing asian clothes, so I’mma just copy and paste the clothing details off the website for you 😛
“Straight kameez with chiffon kali jacket with both front and side opening with brocade piping. High brocade neckline with diamonte and Zardosi embroidery . 8″ brocade hemline. Royal blue chiffon depute with royal blue churidaar.”
Fabric is chiffon and polyester – Surprisingly really comfortable and not itchy at all, unlike other asian clothing! My mum got it in a size medium because I’m quite top heavy and busty (I usually wear a UK 8/10 on top), and she purchased it late so I wasn’t able to get it fitted properly by the tailor! Aka my mother. Nonetheless, I still think the overall fit of the dress is quite nice.
[Diya] || Kameez LS-816 White and Royal Blue – £31.95 (£48.99)
Primark || Glitter Clutch
[Missguided] || Victoria Contrast Strap Snake Print Heeled Sandals White – £24.99
Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed this post, so if you like these kind of blog posts do like it, and leave a comment to let me know! In Sha Allah (God Willing) my next post will be a MOTD post on the make-up I wore this night. However, I need to find and remember what I used, haha. Until the next post, peace out my beauties!
