Top 5 Sweet Summer Lips…

As-Salaamu Alaikum
Peace Be Upon You

Sweet like candy…
My top 5 most used summer lippies post is here! Plus I was just feeling super extra with the pictures, haha.

For me these kind of posts really enlighten my eyes to see what it is I use the most and what colours I should be investing into and what not to! I’ve really enjoyed wearing these colours and thought to share them with you too, just in case you fancied them also 🙂

I’ve noticed that I’m not that much of a fan of the matte liquid lipsticks (or lips) anymore, my lips feel dry and uncomfortable – although there are some great ones out there and amazing colour choices – However, I still prefer the old fashioned creamy lipsticks and glossy glosses (although there’s one rule to the exception right? as I’ve got one velvety lip cream) ❤

From top-to-bottom we have:

CHRISTIAN DIOR  ||  Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Flash – 557
A gorgeous peony pink with lilac iridescent glitter reflexes. As barbie as it looks, this gloss adds a lovely sheer tint of colour and definitely adds to that plump-rageous effect. I love wearing this on its own or with a nude lipstick. As it is a gloss the wearability is low and top-ups are often required. Swatches and an in depth review found [H E R E].

Olivia Palermo x Ciate  ||  Satin Kiss Lipstick – Cashmere
A super creamy opaque lipstick adding life and moisture to the lips. It’s a lovely nude lipstick with a hint of peach, a great satin lipstick – I didn’t think I’d wear this lipstick as often as I have but I honestly have been reaching for it quite a bit lately. Full review and swatches can be found [H E R E].

TARTE  ||  Tartiest Lip Paint – TBT
These liquid lipsticks are the only formula I love, they’re super velvety and sit on the lips really well. They don’t go funny in the inner circle of your lips nor do they make your lips look dehydrated and cracked up.

I honestly wish Tarte were sold in stores as I would love to get my hands on more colours and some of their complexion products. I’m not a fan of buying things online unless I’ve seen it in person and I know the colour is true to it’s form. Sort it out please Tarte!

MAC  ||  Amplified Lipstick – Fast Play
A back-to-mac purchase. I was actually hoping on picking up a my lips-but-better nude lipstick but opted to pick up one with a bit of colour and life. It’s an amplified dusty mauvey-pink lipstick, really nice and creamy and sits on the lips easily. A super quick go-to fuss-free lipstick, need I say more about a Mac lipstick? Perfect for work or for a simple put-together outfit.

CHRISTIAN DIOR || Diorific Rouge Ensourcellant – 032 Bewitching Red
I’ve been off wearing reds and bright colours for almost a year now, my love and excitement for makeup seemed to be disappearing – which was such a shame because over the years I had invested so much into it. During a re-shuffle in the bedroom I took the time to look through all the makeup I owned to remind me what I have and highlight how blessed I’ve been, as a result, I’ve rediscovered my love for this gorgeous luxury satin red lipstick. It glides on really well and lasts an exceptionally long time (with a lipliner). The texture is lovely and creamy and fills in the lip lines – which for me screams plumpy lips. I love to wear bright coloured lipsticks with a simple, flawless base, flirty lashes and liner, so I can let the lips do all the talking – check out a FOTD look post using this lipstick [H E R E]. I hope you enjoyed reading, if not looking at this post – feel free to share your top 5 lip products in the comments below, xoxo

*just want to say a big thank you to steph for the yummy macaroons from Pariiisss*
